What to expect when you arrive at a ride!
All pre ride entries will be done through Evo Events. We do accept cash and entries on the day and these can be sorted out at the secretary point when you collect your rider bibs.
These are why we reccomend arriving atleast 1 hour before your ride time. You will have a pre ride vetting and also a pre ride briefing. These are mandatory for EVERY rider, even if you are riding in a group or rode the day before.
The best part! Off you go on your adventure. You will be following road side markers, silver on your left and gates will be double marked. You have up to 15 minutes after the start time to head out onto course.
Once you have gone through the finish line you will have up to half an hour (depending on your class) to present your horse to the vet for the final vet check. Make sure your horses heart rate is no higher than 64 beats per minute. Call out your rider number when you are ready to vet your horse so the secretary can stop your clock.
So you want to come to a ride but you worry you don't have the right gear.
Endurance makes this soooo easy with a few main requirements!
- A taggable helmet to the current ESNZ standard
- Boots with 12mm heels or more, unless you wear cages, then you can ride in sneakers
- No whips or spurs

During the running of the event there will be people walking around in bibs. These are your officials and volunteers. Without these people, our events would not be able to happen!
These people are there to make sure the events runs smoothly. They will oversea the process and make sure people are having a good time!
This person has already done a lot of work before the event. They will have gone around the tracks before the ride with one of the course markers to make sure it is easy to navigate and understand. And the TD checks the ride base to ensure it is set up as optimally as possible. They are also on standby during the event to head out on course if necessary.
The vets are there for vet checking every horse throughout the event. They are there to ensure the welfare of our horses so make sure you listen to them!
The vets right hand minion. Every horse will have a vet book or day vet card. The vet writers will enter the parameters of your horse when the vet has told them the details.
